From 2010 he co-managed a construction company where he successfully was responsible for construction estimating and project scheduling completing projects in Queensland, remote Northern territory and Victoria.

Subsequently Cody put his knowledge of construction, the property market, town planning and design built up over the past decades to co-found the Urban Community Group.

The practical effect of knowledge and relationships in the real estate and experience in both construction and property development has proved invaluable in sourcing off market opportunities including an 8-storey project in Cleveland.

Cody is an investor into GFS Solutions that is, at its core a glazing company, which has recently signed a partnership with a major manufacturer in Vietnam to produce proprietary aluminium framed door and window designs for new apartment and commercial builds.

Channing was responsible for implementing Joint Venture projects in Vietnam and Lao PDR from 1996 until 2020, turning Investment Licenses into operating businesses in the Property and Travel Retail fields.

In Ha Noi’s Old Quarter Asia Tower was constructed in a culturally important location near the Hoan Kiem Lake, and Channing remains involved in the management of the business, which hosts Blue Chip tenants including Starbucks Reserve, J.P. Morgan, Eneos, USAID Improvement of Private Sector Competitiveness Project (Deloittes), Woori Bank, etc. and remains one of the most desirable business addresses in Ha Noi.

He is a co-founder and Director of the Urban Community Group, involved in the day-to-day management of the company, including site selection, design and delivery of projects.

Channing is also an investor into GFS Solutions, at its core a glazing company, which has recently achieved certification for its Vietnamese manufacturing partner to produce proprietary aluminium framed doors and windows for new apartment and commercial builds in Australia. It was Channing’s long-term knowledge of the Vietnam market which enabled GFS Solutions to fast-track the selection of a suitable manufacturing partner as part of a diversification strategy to ease reliance on goods made in China.
